Hapi Daze

Here's some work I did for Garage Project, a brewery here in Wellington. The beer is light, fruity and summery, I had a taste of it when it was still being brewed... for "inspiration"! And hopefully transport you to a "hapi" place...

"Meet the Pyro" work

It's been a while! I haven't posted my new new stuff, but thought I'd link back to some work from Meet the Pyro. Kotaku featured my work a little while back, so I thought I'd post some of it here, a little higher res too. You can check out the article here http://kotaku.com/5946090/a-closer-look-at-meet-the-pyros-psychotic-fantasy-land

Meet the Pyro Lithographs

My team at Valve and I just released "Meet the Pyro", and the Valve store has lithographs for sale:
HERE. You can see the short HERE

I was lucky enough to paint the backgrounds for the "Pyroland" section of the film, it was a lot of fun. Enjoy!

3D prints progress

Here's the latest work on 3D printing some statues..

 Here's the original painting..

Temporary resting spot for middle section, will eventually overhang like in the painting.

Back side designed on the fly..

Removed the head, the interior revealed some cool structure.

I had to make some minor edits during the 3D modeling phase , but surprisingly not many. Will adjust the head pose in the next iteration.

It has four pieces total, and balances well without needing tape or glue, but will include the little "foot" for the next iteration because it wants to lean forward slightly. I didn't include a small waist segment in the picture in favor of seeing inside the bottom piece. Not bad for the first attempt, though..!

Wicket

I thought I'd share a painting for a group Star Wars show I participated in recently, at the LTD gallery here in Seattle. If you remember in the 3rd movie, Leia befriends Wicket the Ewok. Well something happened and she chose to keep him forever..!

Oil on canvas panel, 15x18. Available.
